The fabric was fraying quite a bit and there was a lot of shedding, or lint. I don't think the fabric was the best quality. In the past I've had colors run from a Fabric Addiction kit, so I don't trust this. Also, I did not get a "cute box" like described.
I plan to donate this to a group that makes quilts for veterans. I will let them decide what to do with it.

I have been a quilter for over 50years, but never used a precut kit before. I was concerned about the quality of your fabric, but since it’s getting difficult for me to cut patterns I thought I’d give your Red White and Cute kit a try. I am so happy I did. The fabric is absolutely lovely; very fine quality! I have not started work on it yet, but just arranging the pieces and reading your good instructions I know it will be fun to begin after the Easter Holiday.

My initial order of this kit was apparently lost by USPS, Fabric Addiction stepped up and reshipped the order and included a nice little “thanks for your patience” surprise in the pkg. My only disappointment is the kit arrived in a bag, not the display box. I love the display boxes for small stash items in my studio after the quilt has been completed- and they look cool on the shelf.

I LOVED not having to cut fabric or think about if I had cut enough. It made me start so much quicker.
I did NOT love that some of the shapes were not cut to true size. Some of the shapes were 1/8" inch short. It meant that some scant 1/4" seams were more like 1/8". I would prefer half square triangles a little bit big and having to trim them rather than dealing with such narrow seams as I made those stars. Some of the 3" squares were not true to size either.

I am disappointed that the half square triangle cuts are not all consistent in size. I’ve only sewn the blocks for the patriotic quilt. I’m meticulous about keeping an exact 1/4 inch seam allowance.

The kit is a good beginner quilt and it is so nice to have all the pieces cut. The one thing I struggle with is the triangle pieces that make the squares. Because the ends/corners of the triangle are cut (which I usually do by trimming my square after ironing), it is hard to feed into the machine. If the triangle was full (no clipped corners), the fabric would feed in under the side of the presser foot and move along. When the corners are clipped, the part of the fabric that feeds into the machine is in the middle of the foot and the foot doesn’t have anything to “grip” onto. This means quite a few of my triangles get caught under the needle and jammed. I actually think it would be easier to work with the full triangle. If there is a trick to this, would very much appreciate the guidance in the future.
